Description
#1 shoots down Pokeshipping. This shipping will never work out because they fight and argue about every little thing that crosses their path. They often times don't even try to get along and obviously try to irritate the other. Sometimes I wonder if they just enjoy picking fights with each other. A true couple will try and get along without more arguing than what's necessary. The relationship will not survive.
#2 shoots down Pearlshipping. This shipping will never work out because the two of them are too competitive with each other. Even though their goals are opposite, they still make it a point to argue and battle each other constantly. They really have no other contact with each other except for their battles and contests. A true couple will help each other yes, but not to such a degree that will tax their relationship so much. The relationship will not survive.
#3 shoots down Negaishipping. This shipping will never work out because they are always insulting each other in the "maturity" levels. Iris always calls Ash a little kid which allows her own insecurities and child-like behavior to shine through. Ash on the other hand is more mature than she is, keeping his cool throughout every one of her insults. A true couple will need to be relatively similar in maturity and not feel the need to argue and insult each other with petty insults. The relationship will not survive.
#4 shoots down Amourshipping. This shipping will never work out because although it's clear that Serena likes Ash, he, as usual, is too distracted with everything else concerning anything remotely Pokémon related. Every attempt she makes with Ash is shot down immediately and she knows it. If Ash truly wanted a relationship with Serena, he would no doubt help her catch Pokémon, figure out her ultimate goal, and spend unnecessary time with her and he has not done anything of the sort. A true couple will spend time together doing the things that they enjoy doing together and sometimes go out of their way to be together more often. The relationship will not survive.
#5 supports Advanceshipping. This shipping will forever work out because they are in love no matter how you slice it. Ash started her Pokémon career and kept her going the entire way through it. May was always willing to cheer him on and go to every match he participated in throughout their entire journey together and was always willing to be his training partner or take care of Pikachu for him. A true couple has just this in their relationship. The relationship will survive forever.
I'd just like to say, I disagree with #4
The rest of the girls just followed him without his permission or because of their bike. Serena was the first girl to be invited personally by Ash. As for Ash not wanting a relationship with Serena, he was too busy training his Pokemon and earning badges to notice her attempts. They've been on an unofficial date before and at the end, Ash gave Serena a present that she would carry with her. Serena would always take care of Pikachu when Ash was battling and is seen holding him occasionally.
Even though Ash and May have the half ribbon, Serena still has the full ribbon given to her by Ash. When May was in her contests, Ash was just training with his Pokemon, but when Serena has showcases, Ash is always there cheering her on. Serena always motivated Ash and snapped him out of his depression when he had doubts about the battle bond ability he struggled with. The seemingly romantic moments he shared with May are gestures sent to her by him as a friend.
