Future Drama - Chapter 5: Try and Stay Alive

: *bangs on the other side of the door* Dad! Mom!
: Amber! Are Aaron and April with you?!
: Yes!
: What do we do Dad?!
: We gotta get May outta here, now!
: Kids, all my Pokémon are back at home! I'm going to need you guys to get this door open.
: Ok. Just get away from the door and we'll handle it.
: I'll help too!
: Ok! Ash? What Pokémon do you have on you?
: Pikachu, Frogadier, Fletchinder, Hawlucha and Noibat!
: Ok. Aaron and I will start with Flareon and Ponyta and heat it up. Then everyone use their Water types to cool it down. Then we'll use Fighting Types to break it down. Got it?
: Got it.
: Let's do it. Ponyta! Flamethrower!
: *appears and launches Flamethrower*
: Flareon! Fire Blast!
: *appears and launches Fire Blast and between both attacks, the door gets hotter and hotter*
: *recalls Ponyta* Now Water Types! Milotic use Hydro Pump!
: *appears and fires Hydro Pump*
: *recalls Flareon* Blastoise Hydro Cannon!
: *appears and fires Hydro Cannon*
: Floatzel! Water Pulse!
: *appears and fires Water Pulse*
: *sends out Frogadier* Frogadier! Use Water Pulse!
: *launches Water Pulse and the combined attacks cool the door down and make the metal door very brittle*
: *recalls Milotic* Now use the Fighting Types!
: *recalls Floatzel* Go Machamp and Primeape! Focus Punch!
: *appears and uses Focus Punch*
: *comes out and uses Focus Punch*
: *recalls Blastoise * Hitmontop! Rolling Kick!
: *appears and uses Rolling Kick*
: *sends out Hawlucha* Hawlucha! Use High-Jump Kick!
: *uses High-Jump Kick and between the four attacks, the door shatters open*
: Yeah!
: Mom! Dad! Ash!
: *runs in and hugs May*
: *hugs her dad* Is everyone ok?
: Mom won't be if we don't get her out of here.
: What? Why?
: ... It's a long story!
: We'll explain later. For now, we need to get her out of here.
: And bring her where?
: My secret base isn't far from here. We can bring her there.
: ... Secret base?
: *nods* It's a secret room I built in a tree near Viridian City. I normally use it for overnight training. We can hide Mom there.
: Oh. Cool!
: Only our family knows about it so Mom should be safe there for as long as need be.
: Then let's hurry.
: Right!
: Ok. April and Ash, take May to the base. Amber and Aaron, you stay with me and we'll get everyone out of the hospital.
: Ok.
: *helps May to her feet* Ash, let's get outside.
: Right!
: *helps her mom outside and lets out her Swellow* Swellow, we need to take Mom to the base. Can you help us?
: *nods*
: Awesome!
: *helps May onto Swellow and then she gets on too*
: *hops on Swellow*
: Go Swellow!
: *takes off into the sky*
: WHEE!
: *smiles* You never did lose...that wild streak Ash...
: *looks at May's future self with pride* Oh really? I was afraid that I'd become a bit more tame.
: *smiles and gently shakes her head* You may have become more responsible, but you're still Ash Ketchum. And you passed that on to the kids.
: *blushes* Mom...
: That seems to be the case. :3
*Soon, Swellow lands beside a tree outside Viridian City*

: *helps May off Swellow* Ash can you head up there and open the treehouse door?
: Sure thing! *climbs up the treehouse and opens the door*
: *helps May up into the treehouse*
: ...
: Alright. That should protect us for a while.
: Oh...ok.
: Thank you both.
: No problem, May.
: As far as I know Manaphy can't climb trees. So I think we'll be ok for a while...
: I suppose so...
*Several hours later, night has fallen and everyone is asleep*

*A small noise echoes through the treehouse*

: *wakes up and looks around* Huh?

: *sees a small shadow move across the floor* Uh...

: *watches as the shadow slowly moves around Ash and April and toward her and gulps*

*The shadow whips his antenna around and wraps them around her neck*
: *tries to scream and struggle free but can't in her injured state*
*Ash stirs awake.*
: Man...what time is- ...MAY!?
: *struggles, trying to breathe as best she can as the antenna stay firmly around her neck*
: *runs over to May and attempts to pull the antenna off of her neck*
*The shadow launches a Hydro Pump and knocks Ash off his feet*
: ACK!
: *wakes up* Huh? What's going...Mom!! Ash!!
: May's in trouble! Help!
: Let's go Jolteon!
: Jolt!
: Thunderbolt!
: *uses Thunderbolt and strikes the small shadow*
: Pikachu! Wake up and use Thunderbolt!
: *wakes up and launches Thunderbolt*
*The Thunderbolt strikes the other Pokémon and causes him to let go of May's neck*
: *coughs and holds her neck in pain*
*The Pokémon comes into the moonlight and is revealed to be Manaphy. But it's not the sweet Manaphy they all knew. This Manaphy was cut and scared up all over his body. The circular tails at the end of his antenna had been replaced by sharp spikes and his tender blue eyes were now red and filled with hate*
: Manaphy...
: Whoa...
: Stand aside. Both of you. The mother must die.
: ...No...that's not happening.
: Move children. Or you shall die with her.
: *stands her ground*
: ... How about you leave May alone?!
: No. The mother must die to save the Temple.
: As you're father, I order you to leave May alone!
: I no longer answer to you. *fires a Hydro Pump*
*Ash gets hit by the Hydro Pump.*
: Ash!
: Ow...
: Jolteon! Use Thunderbolt!
: *launches Thunderbolt*
: *dodges at lightning fast speed*
: *moans in pain*
: Ash look out! He's fast!
: I'm...trying...
: Jolteon keep Ash and Mom safe!
: *nods*
: Ow...
: Go Machamp!
: Ma!
: Pikachu...Iron Tail...
: *uses Iron Tail but missed when Manaphy disappears*

: How...how could he disappear?
: I'm...not sure...
: *appears behind them and knocks them both off their feet*
: AH!
: Gah!
: Ow...
: That sneaky...Machamp use Focus Punch!
: Pikachu! Volt Tackle!
: *runs at Manaphy with Focus Punch*
: *runs at Manaphy with Volt Tackle*
: *dodges both and launches Ice Beam, hitting both Pokémon*
: Pikachu!
: Machamp!
: Your efforts are futile. *turns his attention to Jolteon who is guarding May*
: *charges at Manaphy*
: Ash don't!
: *fires Hydro Pump at him*
: ACK! *gets sent flying*
: Machamp!
: *catches Ash*
: Whoa...thanks, Machamp.
: Are you ok Ash?!
: Yeah. I'm alright.
: We gotta get out of here!
: Right!
: *helps her mom up as Manaphy launches an Ice Beam*
: We gotta get outta here!
: Jolteon Thunderbolt!
: *launches Thunderbotl and stops Ice Beam*
: Ash take Machamp with you and get Mom away from here!
: Right!
: *carefully hands her mom over to Machamp and then focuses her attention on Manaphy* Jolteon Thunderbolt go!
: *launches Thunderbolt*
: *follows Ash out of the base*
: We gotta get outta here!
: But where Ash? This Manaphy seems to be able to get anywhere.
: You think I know!?
: Sorry...you always had a plan when we were kids...
: ... Oh! Wait! I know! We gotta lure Manaphy to some kind of trap!
: Trap it?
: Yeah!
: How? The only thing he's after is...oh no...
: What's wrong?
: Ash the only bait Manaphy is going to go after...is me...
